2523 Linton Squadron continue with fantastic success using video based parade nights. Both Sergeant Coates and Flight Sergeant Pybus have achieved their BTEC Level 2 in Teamwork and Personal Development, and we eagerly await the result for our third of this years candidates.
A strong start has been made on our new September registrations for BTEC awards and we look forward to more success in this area.
I’m sure you will all join me in congratulating Flight Sergeant Sean Keenan in his successful application for an Army scholarship. After a rigorous paper sift and impressing the board at initial officer selection, Flt Sgt Keenan was selected for a scholarship at his chosen university. An incredible result.
We’ve continued to provide a varied and exciting program of virtual events, with Beds and Cambs wing pulling together to provide leadership activities and Duke of Edinburgh training.
Linton cadets have had guest speaker question and answer from senior RAF staff, giving a fantastic insight into the inner workings of the RAF. As well as this our own squadron staff have provided flight planning lessons and delivered training from the British Safety Foundation too.
The squadrons new website is live, www.2523linton.co.uk, and we welcome all those starting year 8 to register their details with us so we can invite them to our squadron open evening upon our return to face to face activities, which we hope will be very soon.
