We look forward to kick starting the new year with Face to Face activities at 2523 Linton Squadron. With many events starting to populate the calendar we look forward to the re-turn of L98 shooting. With weapons handling tests being completed in December and the first shoots booked for mid January.
2021 will see many flying opportunities with our usual allocation of air experience flights and scholarship placement opportunities. 2 Flight Training School have worked hard to en-sure we can return safely to airborne activities and training.
The aerospace team have been busy preparing our simulator training stations and the course dates for ground school aerospace have started to be released, along with dates for the premier camp; Aerospace Camp.
Our camp season kicks off in March, and we are hopeful that Easter Camp 2021 will be able to go ahead as planned, paving the way for all of our summer camps too.
With staff using the lockdown to complete additional training, when the squadron does re-turn in the new year we will be better placed than ever to deliver first aid, leadership and BTEC training from across our progressive training syllabus. A list of subjects can be found on our website www.2523linton.co.uk.
Once we are settled back into a routine we will look to expand the squadron by recruiting new cadets, minimum age 12 and in year 8, to start their cadet career.
2523 and the entire RAF Air Cadet organisation is set to bounce back next year with an industrious and ambitious training program at local, regional and national level.
